A Motor Fuel Transportation Infrastructure Assessment (MFTIA) fee equates to 2% of the state average price of gasoline, exclusive of federal and state taxes, adjusted quarterly. An additional Motor Fuel Tax Assessment (MFTA) of the greater of 13.4 cpg or 4% of the tax-adjusted retail price of gasoline, exclusive of federal and state taxes, adjusted quarterly, not to exceed 18 cpg, whichever is greater. For diesel, MFTIA is fixed at 3 cpg and there is no MFTA. Non-transportation purposes: 1 cpg for the Petroleum Cleanup Fund on gasoline and diesel.
